RESCHEDULING OF REGIONAL GLIMPSES EXHIBITION

REGIONAL GLIMPSES an exhibition featuring John Kempster's Artwork which was rescheduled for the 20th February 2011, has had to be cancelled.

The event was to be held at The Daradgee Environmental Education Centre, 76 McAvoy St Daradgee.
This venue is currently unavailable as it is being used to accomodate the SES personnel working on the rehabilitation of the region after cyclone Yasi.

I am unable to reschedule the event at this time, but I am am hoping for a combined event with the Friends of Daradgee early in the new year when thing get back to normal

Regional Glimpses

Regional Glimpses is a solo exhibition of new artistic works by Innisfail artist John Kempster. The artworks are mainly acrylic and mixed media paintings featuring glimpses of life figures in the local regional environment. Some recent sculpture will also be on display.

Diploma of Visual Art student exhibition

Les Femmes and John is an exhibition of works by a vibrant group of art practitioners. Coming from diverse backgrounds, these artists bring together their distinctive interpretation and creative energy in this show.

This exciting line up of contemporary and traditional work features drawing, sculpture, painting, ceramics and digital media.

The underpinning knowledge and inspiration central to these works reflect the complexity and diversity of life. The works explore a range of issues including loss of culture, the environment, innocence and other aspects of the human condition.
